Unicorn takes measures to protect the environment by operating through the environmental management system that conforms to ISO14001 standard, regulatory and legislative framework. Unicorn's factory has been certified with ISO14001 standard by 3rd party certification body since 2012. At Unicorn, we have established a comprehensive program in facility engineering, resource and energy consumption control, waste and pollution control, and safety management in order to minimize negative impact to the environment.

Greenhouse Gas Emission

• Non-use of perfluorinated compounds (PFC) in the manufacturing. 
• Monitor and minimize the operational carbon footprint, with continual reduction of GHG each year.
• Maximize energy saving in electricity by upgrade of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) system and air compressor facility.

Pollution & Waste

• Categorization and separation of waste according to recyclable waste, sanitary waste and hazardous waste. 
• Safe disposal of hazardous waste. Collectively gathered and processed by legally qualified supplier.
• Waste water treatment system to purify all industrial waste released from manufacturing.

Water Conservation

• Control system to monitor and limit fresh water consumption
• Separate waste water reclamation system to recycle and reuse the waste water from production and sanitary respectively.
• Discharge of water to surrounding environment in accordance with purity specification of environmental surface water.

Resource Consumption

• Continually monitors and decreases consumption of resources in manufacturing processes, supply chain and plant administration.
• Reduce paper usage in day to day operation and administration by promoting paper-less electronic system, and recycling of printed or written papers.
• Re-use and re-cycle of packaging materials for purchased parts.

Unicorn’s commitment to environmental protection is demonstrated by establishing and implementing Hazardous Substance Process Management (HSPM) which conforms to IECQ QC080000 Standard. At Unicorn, as far as sustainability is concerned, our goal is not only reducing the environmental impact, but also mitigating the negative impact to safety and health possibly associated with our products.
