TN LCD

TN LCD monochrome displays are the lowest cost of the Mono display options. Contrast is not as sharp as STN and FSTN. Primary color options are black letters on a grey background. Other colors are available through the use of filters.

STN LCD

STN LCD monochrome displays require less power and are less expensive to manufacture than TFT’s. They produce a sharper contrast then TN but less sharp then FSTN. Basic color options are Gray, Blue and Yellow/Green (most common). Other colors are available through the use of filters.

FSC LCD

FSC (Field sequential color) LCD is using a high speed LCD mode and an R, G, B LED backlight to display them in order. The FSC-LCD technology eliminates the need for the color filter; it changes the display color by software only.

PMVA LCD

Passive Matrix Vertical Alignment (PMVA) is a monochrome display technology that utilises an altered LCD cell design, which brings advantages such as High contrast, wide viewing angle, good temperature adaptability, pure black background.
